Research interests

My research interests focus on two areas. The first concerns the complex systems (e.g. biological system, the financial stock markets, social networks, etc.), with emphasis on the modeling of complex systems, their evolution mechanism lying behind and the dynamic processes taking place in the complex systems. The second research area concerns the combination of complex networks and artificial intelligence. I’m especially interested in the application of statistical physics to the machine learning problems

Proficiencies

I am familiar with C++, Java, Matlab, UML (Unified Modeling Language), SQL (Structured Query Language). Java is my favor and many development packages such as Weka, Jung, JIU and JMat have been broadly applied in my past programs. I have also written many C++ programs range from database manipulation to embedded soft run on Windows CE 2.11. So if the speed is critical factor in my projects, C++ will be chosen instead of java. The development kits I often used are Eclipse and JBuilder for java, MS Visual Studio for C++, Rational Rose for UML. The database management software I am familiar with includes MySQL and MS SQL Server.
